A Happy Workspace...

Finally my Desk AND chair arrived for my little workspace nook! I couldn't be more pleased with the items I purchased!!! It makes me so happy to get up every morning and check my emails and do a bit of blog reading at my new clean and simple desk! I still have to get a cork board (a little DIY project I have an idea for) and one shelf for the side wall but I'm happy with it for now! :)

Originally in this space I had a big wine cabinet/side table that took up this entire space. It's sole propose was to hold my liquor and wine glasses but the space was necessary for me to do freelance, make jewelry, blog, photoshop, anything my little creative heart desires. So I got rid of the beautiful wine cabinet (sold on craigs list for $200 SCORE!) and put the money towards a new desk a chair and a little drawer cabinet (I also dug deep into that closet of mine and sold a few misc things that I never used like shoes, and some clothes with tags.

So what did I do with all the Wine glasses and liquor? My amazing boyfriend put up two shelves over the sink and two wine racks next to them! It looks even better than it did bare! and it made room for my pretty little mock office! My apartment is really coming together with some chic personality. I'm going to have to post pictures of it soon!

Workspace Needed!

I'm in the process of getting rid of things I don't need and making room for things I do. One of them being a desk! I'm in serious need of a work station for freelance design, blogging, jewelry making, sewing or anything my little creative heart desires! So I have the perfect space for a medium sized desk and possibly some shelves and a small drawer unit. I came across this amazing desk during my on line quest for something glamorous but not too over the top and a touch modern bc my apartment building has super modern finishes.

I emailed the shop in Palm springs and unfortunately they don't make this desk anymore! How tragic!! The sales guy was super helpful and even suggested something else. But now I'll have to use this as an inspiration piece...and the quest continues...

But honestly if I had a spare bedroom (and really who has that in or around the NYC area?!?!) I'd be inspired to go ultra glam like Khloe Kardashian's office

Just needs some more vintage touches in there and it would be perfect!!! I love Glam with eclectic mixes of old used things.

 

Downward Facing Dog....Literally!

So on the way to lunch yesterday I was in a cab watching those bits of news on the screens in the back of the taxi and saw a clip about Doga. Photo Credit: Petwellbeing.comThis New form of yoga gives a whole new meaning to the position downward facing dog. No it's not for humans it's for those of the canine breed. Honestly those who do not have a dog might think this is a bit crazy......actually those with a dog might think so too, but Yoga for Dogs might be just what the doctor ordered for those breeds that can be a bit on the over excited side.  Having a Yorkie who sometimes can get a bit antsy and a bit hyper and a bit, well...out of sorts, this might be just the thing he needs to chill out! I'm willing to give this a try, it might be better than the other alternatives I was conjuring up in my head the other night. Although i highly doubt he'd sit still for even 5 minutes.
