UPDATE: Grillin' and Groovin'

Just wanted to give everyone an update on my miGrill that came just in time for the holiday weekend. We had a few things going on so we weren't able to grill till Monday night for dinner after a long day at the beach. But it was the perfect ending to such a great weekend!! The grill plays music via an ipod connector. Volume can go full blast but would upset the neighbors! And it grilled wonderfully!!! We had Lemon/ Rosemary chicken (I absolutely have no idea how he prepared this)which was amazing with squash, zucchini and asparagus. It grilled perfectly. The chicken had a slight crisp on the outside but was soo juicy and tender inside. The veggies were perfectly soft without being mushy. We grilled (he grilled) to some Van Morrison and The Beatles! Such a perfect memorial day!!!

I give the miGrill 4 out of 5 stars taking one star away for the grilling space being a bit too small. Its good for 2 people but the veggies AND the chicken on the grill space all at once was a bit cramped. Grillin' and Groovin'

So since the weathers been heating up all my neighbors have decided to make me insanely jealous of all the delicious BBQ they've been cooking up on their terraces. Since I'm no glamor girl in the kitchen I didn't even think I could handle BBQing esp b/c I grew up in a household where this was a "mans job" not that my dad minded of course! But I shouldn't have to deny myself the satisfaction of BBQ because I don't have a man readily available to flip my burgers!!!I decided Charcoal was just too messy, and electric was.....well that's just a stove!! I need a gas grill! SO on my search for the perfect most Glamorous grill for the single, city gal, one that was easy to use and easy to clean up. I stumbled upon this little gadget! The miGrill. Not only does it grill It grooves too!! It has a built-in speakers and an MP3 connector! Grilling could not be more glamorous!! I just really hope it grills as good as it looks!! Terrace Lovin'...

Or just plain old backyard lovin'. But being a city gal we usually have terraces and not backyards. If you have one, GLAM IT UP! I fell for this faux wooden outdoor flooring from Ikea recently when taking a gander over at my neighbors terrace and it just looked so homey over there! (props to B409!) So I decided to hijack the design detail!! They are super easy to install, they just sorta click together and they are super cheap; $34.99 for the pack of nine. I only needed 5 1/2 Packs. Not bad!! Here's a snap shot of my finished terrace. I seriously want to spend every minute out there now! Way more glamorous than gray cement!xx M
